You may find that when you are around others, you don't always show up. In fact, this could be something that more or less always takes place when you spend time with others.
This could be how you have been for as long as you can remember. If you have only just started to become aware of this, it could show that something significant happened to you and this caused you to take a step and to reflect.
The Experience
So, when you are around others, it will mean that you will typically lose touch with your needs and feelings. As a result of this, you will lose touch with yourself and become who other people want you to be - or who you think they want you to be.
The real you will be hidden behind the mask that you wear, which will stop your true-self form being able to see the light of day. Physically, you will show up, but your emotional self won't, causing you to feel disconnected in the process.
Unknown
Most, if not all, of the people in your life and then not going to spend time with the real you; they will spend time with a version of you that has been heavily watered down. They probably won't realise this, however, as the version of you that shows up could just be seen as who you are.
When you are by yourself you might experience a sense of relief, with this being a time when you can embrace who you really are. You won't feel the need to put on an act and it could be as though a weight has been lifted from your shoulders.
Drawing the Line
What is likely is that you have had enough of hiding yourself around others and want to finally reveal who you are. Living in this way is going to be anything but fulfilling, and you may be used to feeling powerless and even depressed.
The first step could be for you to think about when you first started to hide yourself. What you may find is that this was something that first took place during your childhood years.
The Foundations Were Laid
Due to what was taking place during this time, you may have come to believe that it wasn't safe for you to reveal your true-self. Therefore, in order for you to survive, you had to lose touch with yourself.
Most likely, this would have been something that just happened as opposed to something that you consciously chose to do. The part of you that is concerned with your survival would have seen this as the best way for you to stay alive.
Shining the Light
Now, although this belief may have been an accurate reflection of what was taking place all those years ago, it is no longer accurate. It is just a belief and that means that it is not the truth.
Thanks to this belief, revealing your true-self who you are will be seen as something that would cause you to die. Additionally, you could believe that there is something inherently wrong with your true-self and you could be carrying trauma from this time in your life.

If You Have Fallen, You Will Rise Again
The other day, I was thinking about the moments in my life when I have had setbacks and what has often gone through my head when this has taken place. When I think about what happens, it's a bit like I'm in one season.
During this time, and irrespective of what season it is, part of me usually believes that this is how it will always be. It can't accept that the current season will soon pass, only to be replaced by another season.
The Similarity
In the same way, when I have a setback, part of me often believes that this is just how it will always be. This part can't accept that my life will change, providing I don't get too caught up in what has taken place and that I take the right steps.
One way of looking at this would be to say that my emotional self gets caught up in what was taking place, while my rational self can see that this is just a stage of my life. This would be an oversimplification, though, as both of these parts also express the views that are the complete opposite.
Over to You
So perhaps you have just experienced a setback and this has knocked you down, even right down. It could to your career, your finances, your relationships, your health or something else entirely.
You are then going to be in a different place to where you were a few days or weeks ago. You may have been in a good place, if not on top off the world, and now, you could feel very low.
One Big Challenge
What you did with ease before could be a struggle and you may be in survival mode; not having the energy, let alone the desire, to do anything. To make matters worse, there could also be a voice in your head that is laying into you.
You may have realised for quite some time that this setback would take place or maybe it appeared to come out of nowhere. Either way, your life is the way that it is and part of you, if only a small part, won't want it to stay this way.
An Analogy
One way for you to look at what has taken place would be to imagine that a wood house has been built on a volcano. Let's say that it has been blown down by the wind and it is now a heap of wood.
But although it looks like a mess on top, it still resides on a volcano that has immense power. In the same way, while your 'house' may have fallen, deep within you is the power that you need to gradually rebuild it.
How Can I Serve You?
The main thing is that you don't get too caught up in what is currently taking place or give up on yourself and take the steps that you need to move forward. If you can relate to what I have written and need additional support, one of the ways that I can provide this is through the personalised consultations that I offer via Skype or Zoom.

'Men Have A Strong Aversion To Shame'
In the book 'Manhood' by Steve Biddulph, there is a section where he says that "a deep aversion to shame has become wired in to male biology." The reason that is put forward for is that "throughout history, women are most sexually attracted to high-status males".
What this means is that if a man experiences shame, it will be interpreted to mean that his status is lower than other men's. The outcome of this is that he won't be seen as sexually attractive to women, which will stop him from being able to attract a mate and pass his genes on.
An Unconscious Process
It is unlikely that this is something that a man consciously thinks about if he experiences shame; nevertheless, it can be running just outside of his awareness. So, even if he is not aware of it, it is still going to influence his life.
What is also going to have an effect is how often a man experiences shame. If a man only experiences shame from time to time it might not be an issue, but if he is stuck in shame, it will be a very different story.
Another Factor
What will be experienced with prolonged shame is the feeling of being inherently worthless and flawed. Through feeling this way, a man can believe that he will end up being ostracised by his fellow human beings.
Thus, even if the 'attracting a mate part' is seen as having no basis in reality or was just put to one side; being stuck in shame is still going to be incredibly difficult. When shame is experienced for a prolonged period of time, it could be described as 'toxic shame'.
A Number of Options
If a man's being is basically loaded with toxic shame, there a number of things that can take place. He could give in to how he feels, which could mean that he will often feel down and depressed and that he will end up living a miserable existence.
Alternatively, he could disconnect from how he feels, becoming shameless in the process. He can then come across as someone who is supremely confident, be highly successful and need an endless amount of positive feedback.
A Different Reaction
The former will be defined by his shame, while the later will see himself as a walking god. This is not always what takes place as a man could create a layer of rage that generally allows him to keep his shame at bay.
A man like this could often end up in a lot of fights and he may have even been in prison. If he was to embrace his shame, he would emotionally collapse and have no energy; whereas when he is consumed by rage, he will feel powerful and be full of energy.
The Cause
If a man is loaded with toxic shame, it could be due to what took place during his formative years. Perhaps this was a time in his life when he experienced some kind of abuse and/or neglect.
Ultimately, how he was treated had nothing to do with his value as a human being; it was simply a reflection of what was going on for his caregiver/s (or whoever it was who treated him badly). But, as he was egocentric at this stage of his life, he would have taken it personally.
How Can I Serve You?
There will be the beliefs that he formed during this time and the emotional wounds that he experienced. If you can relate to what I have written and need additional support, one of the ways that I can provide this is through the personalised consultations that I offer via Skype or Zoom.

Are You An Old Soul?
Over the years, I have heard a number of people use the term 'old soul'. Whenever this term has been used, it has been used to describe someone who is seemingly wise beyond their years, aware, a healer and/or someone who is 'spiritual', for instance.
It hasn't mattered if this person was at the beginning of their life or they had been on this earth for quite some time, as this wasn't seen as the first time they have been here. It was as though this person had been here numerous times before.
Past Lives
There have also been times when they were seen as having had important lives in the past. They might not hold a high position in society now, but in the past, they would have been someone who did.
And when it came to the lives that they did have, these would have been what enabled them to have the depth that they now possess. If it wasn't for these experiences, then, they wouldn't have been the same.
A Clear Reason
With this in mind, if someone lacks depth and self-awareness, it will be because they are a 'new soul'. Like a small child, they won't have been on this earth before which is why they won't be very developed.
Unlike their fellow human beings who are 'old souls', they won't know much about the human experience. As a result of this, it is to be expected that they will behave in ways that reflect how unevolved they are.
The Difference
An 'old soul' can understand that they are not separate from anything, that their outer world mirrors their inner world and that the duality of this earth - created by the mind - is an illusion. Consequently, they can be more loving, understanding, more likely to take responsibility for their life, and less caught up in the dual nature of the mind - more heart-based.
A 'new soul' can see themselves as being separate from everything, an observer of the world and caught up in the world of duality. Due to this, they can be more likely to harm another, to blame other people for what goes wrong in their life and to be caught up in the world is duality.
Another Outlook
Now, while this whole 'old soul' and 'new soul' description was something that made sense for a while, I ended up questioning it a little while ago. When I was looking over some of Philip Goddard's material, I came across a very different view.
In his opinion, it is not that those that are evolved who are 'old souls'; it is those who are the least evolved who are 'old souls. Those who are the most evolved are seen as having no soul, with them being "a direct incarnation of consciousness".
An Interesting Perspective
One way of looking at this would be to say that it makes complete sense. After all, if someone has had many different lives, and has been through a lot, wouldn't they be in a very jaded state?
This is similar to how as a child, someone can be full of life, and yet, by the time they become an adult, they can be in a very bad way. They can be bitter, have no energy and be disconnected from themselves.
Conclusion
One issue that can be put forward when it comes to this outlook is that if those that are more evolved are 'new souls', how can they remember past lives? One way of looking at this would be to say that they are tuning into lives that they themselves haven't actually experienced.
â
Like a parasite, these lives have attached themselves to them. Someone can then believe that these lives are lives that they have experienced, with these lives relying on their life force to stay alive and taking their energy away from their present life in the process.

Who Can You Trust In This Pandemic World?
It's been several weeks since the world began a shut-down due to COVID-19 and I think we have all noticed a lot of confusing messages that have been circulating since then. Every one of us likes to have some control in our lives and "the unknown" can therefore become an enemy to the people. Since this started however, I have to be honest by saying that I don't think anyone has any really good answers to give us right now.
There isn't an exact date as to when everything will open up again. The fact that there are different pockets of outbreaks throughout the world, all in different stages of severity, makes things more complicated. Also, regional jurisdictions and governing bodies seem to have differing perspectives about what we can and can't do. Many things just don't make sense. For example, one province, with high statistics re-opened schools while another province with very few numbers have not planned to re-open schools for several weeks.
The whole topic of mask wearing has been controversial. At one point we were told that they could actually cause infections if improperly fit or handled. Some "experts" warn that they might give a false sense of safety. Others state that we need to wear them. Questions include where, when and what type?
Another confusing situation arises when we try to balance health and finances. Those in what is termed "essential services" are required to work despite risk. Those in "non-essential? services who have been self-isolating may have lost or reduced their income significantly.
Governments have been providing various stimulus programs to put money into the hands of the people and prevent the stock market from crashing but recovering from this will set us back as a country for many years to come.
So, what can we do when we live in a world of mixed messages and uncertainty? How can you live with peace rather than anxiety? Who can you trust?
Trust yourself - Learn how to do research and then make decisions based on your own wisdom. You can continue to use good health practices and caution while still living an active life. You might not be able to go to a gym, but you can still walk in the beautiful outdoors. Instead of seeing friends and family, you can use phone or computers to stay in touch. You can use your time to improve your living conditions, learn a skill or embrace the time you previously wished for to relax.
Trust those who are trustworthy - I am fortunate to have a physician who knows me, my health, and science. I trust him. Think about the people who you have learned to trust over the years. Do you have someone in your life who is good with finances? Can you trust the people who operate the store where you buy groceries? Do you have friends or family members who you can trust for specific things?
Trust God (or the universe or whatever you call someone or something that is bigger than you). The sun comes up every day. Seasons occur with scheduled dependability. For centuries people have been born, lived and died. This pandemic is just one small part of a world history that has included both trouble and progress. And the cycle will continue.

True Nature of Reality
Each moment of our life is filled with impermanence and yet the common tendency is to not pay attention to it at all unless acquainted to do so. Upon waking-up, is your first thought about impermanence? Very unlikely so! Yet, a night went by and from that moment impermanence looms on anything from anywhere. Can you claim otherwise? Is there anything that exists permanently without change? Leave the room, the moment is gone. Who knows if you will return! What spontaneously comes to mind when talking about impermanence is Buddhism. Have you ever considered your mortality, your changeability? Have you observed the disruption that impermanence creates around happiness? Why is that so? Why is the mind so attached to permanency?
It is the mind that gives power to permanency, which, in itself does not exist. Introspection of the mind is your best tool to observe and understand the tricks the mind plays on the true nature of reality. The true nature of reality is made of impermanence and changeability and through a progressive practice of introspection, it becomes possible to detect attachment to form, shapes, odors, colors, emotions, and dispel the tendency of becoming acquainted with attachment. Would you try? Would you accept to sit every day even if only for ten minutes and observe the mind's tricking games? Maybe you would hesitate, thinking that it would divert your attention to other more important business matters. However a fantasy world it may appear to be, meditation is a great training tool for the mind to calm down, pace down, reflect on the true nature of reality, impermanence. Thoughts pass like clouds in the sky. Something that was attracting attention, at times maybe obsessively, becomes redundant, disappears, opinion changes, emotions pace down, anxiety settles. Neuroscientific studies bring solid evidence that meditation is not only a mind's training tool, and rather a wellness generator for the brain by stimulating a process called neurogenesis, the production of new neurons. This means that even ten minutes of meditation per day, can, in the medium and long terms generate new neurons, simply by teaching the mind to practice discernment.
The true nature of reality is of changeability, and sitting down with regular punctuality even ten minutes a day, bring vast mind's rewiring effects, that may, in the long run, contribute to maintaining a healthy state of mind.
Don't humans live in their mind? Even a healthy and fit body has a mind which requires the same amount of training and wellness than the physical body.
Would you give it a try?
I have written a book full of resources on how to train the mind. I was burdened by heavy grief and passed the excruciating test of impermanence digging in the mind and body tools most available at hand. https://authorcentral.amazon.com/gp/profile

The Meaning of Life
A seeker goes to Nepal and climbs into the Himalayas to find a teacher, a guru he's heard about. After months of searching and struggle, he finds the famous man, and asks his burning question: "What is the meaning of life?"
"The meaning of life is a bridge," replies the wise man.
The seeker is incensed. "Wait a minute, what kind of dumb answer is that? I struggled and fought to get here, and that's all you have to say? A bridge? That's the stupidest thing I ever heard!"
The guru blinked, looked at him and said, "You mean... it's not a bridge?"
Most of my clients come to me, not searching for the meaning of life, but focused on some crisis in their lives: a relationship disaster, marriage or family problems, lack of direction and motivation, some huge loss for which they're grieving, an emotional problem such as anxiety or depression, or perhaps even for help in recovering from an addiction. The first thing we do is sort through the crisis, handle immediate problems, and get everything settled down, then we embark on an extended process of figuring out how the problem happened and what must change to keep it from happening again. Once those things are handled, there's a period of bliss or euphoria, when life is working for the first time, they feel successful, calmer, more in charge. Most clients leave at this time.
Then, frequently, they come back asking "Now that I'm in charge of myself, and have a lot of extra energy, because life is a lot easier and my relationships are working, it feels like I'm missing something-what am I doing here?"
This begins a spiritual search for meaning, which I've written about in a couple of books-The Real 13th Step, and The Ten Smartest Decisions a Woman Can Make After Forty.
People for whom the basics of life are already established need more: they need a sense of meaning and a higher purpose than just survival. Once self-confidence and self-esteem are established, you'll need a challenge to feel satisfied, a way to express your uniqueness and individuality to yourself, to friends, and to the world.
But if your life's purpose is not evident to you already, how do you find out what it is? Where does a sense of purpose come from? It comes from within you, and is not imposed or chosen from outside. Your purpose may be your livelihood, or it may have nothing to do with how you make a living. Your purpose may be a simple one, like making a good, healthy life for yourself and your children, or it may be more dramatic, and based on what you learned by healing your own childhood experience. Many people know that inner purpose has the power to transform anxiety, anger, fear and rage into powerful, life-affirming action:
Dr. Bernie Siegel, a cancer specialist, was discouraged and frustrated about the lack of success of medicine against cancer. He challenged the focus of the medical establishment by looking at patients who had experienced "miracle cures" and "spontaneous remissions." Although he was ridiculed by his peers, he persevered, and out of it he developed a new way of enlisting the patient's own healing capability, outlined in his book, Love, Medicine and Miracles.
Cleve Jones turned his rage, bitterness and grief about AIDS into the Names Project Memorial Quilt, which has helped people throughout the world express, heal and understand the grief resulting from this tragic epidemic.
After her thirteen-year-old daughter was killed by a drunken driver, Candy Lightner used the power of her grief and rage to found Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), to combat the problem and prevent the senseless deaths of other children.
Sojourner Truth, an African-American and former slave, was instrumental in developing the Underground Railway to guide slaves to freedom before and during the American Civil War.
Ron Kovic, paralyzed from the waist down as a soldier in Vietnam, turned first to alcoholism, but then recovered and channeled his resentment and rage into anti-war protest, and later wrote the best selling book and Oscar-winning movie script, Born on the Fourth of July.
A life purpose gives you the means to control your destiny, no matter what the force of the hardships you have incurred. Most of the world's spiritual thinkers have said that the wisdom guiding each of us is available if we just listen and trust what we hear. You may already be having many ideas but not be trusting them or taking them seriously. Perhaps when you get an idea what your "job on earth", or life's purpose is, you are too distrustful of yourself, (I can't do that) or too hopeless and helpless to believe it or act on it. Your purpose may make itself clear to you in one instant flash, or gradually, as if you are following clues, one at a time. Whether you get it all at once or a piece at a time, it will still take work and experience to bring it about. Inner wisdom is not rational or practical in nature, but more intuitive and spiritual. It can provide a way to see the big picture, or a more detached and objective viewpoint of the issues and problems of life. Each new idea must be tested through practical use, to see how it works. Step by step, using both intuitive wisdom and clear thinking, you can bring your inner motivation to the surface and use it to create what you want. Your combination of inspiration expressed through action becomes the bridge to the meaning of your own life. - From It Ends with You

How Can I Become An Innovative Person?
We see the word innovation often, and it's amazing sometimes what qualifies for innovation as this buzz-word is being bantered about. Those of us who are creative and innovative know our prospects for success are greater than those without such talents and attributes. Perhaps this is why so many people seek to learn how to innovate themselves. It sure looks good on a resume, and most job descriptions do have a phrase or two in them such as; looking for an innovative self-starter. Let's talk about innovation a little bit and see if you can figure out how to reposition yourself better as someone known to be innovative.
Innovation is Just Combining Observations and Solutions from Other Domains
Many who've thought about it long enough realize that most good innovations in any particular sector come from borrowing ideas or portions of ideas from other sectors or domains. Most innovators I know admit that most of their new original thought concepts come to them in this way. If this is the case, then we don't need to teach innovation at all, rather we just need more polymaths and people with vast arrays of experience in many fields.
Unfortunately, that would mean all the 'Innovation Gurus' would be out of work and teaching very few seminars because until their enrolled students had more experiences in more areas of life and work, the seminar attendees wouldn't be ready to use the methodology taught or have enough knowledge to be a future contender in the top ranks of innovators.
Of course the scary part of this theory of re-combination to create innovation means that it's pretty easy to teach and if so, anyone can do it, so maybe that's why everyone is trying to specialize in this "innovation coach" generalist category today. Once someone has experience and knowledge and understands how to use information in one area in another, they can become innovators, at least proficient at the most common type of innovation that is.
If you've played sports, you might take some of the strategies and tactics used to win and use something similar in a business situation to better a product or sell a service. Perhaps you had a short stint in a summer job, and realize that some of your observations there could be used at the organization you work or volunteer at now. Maybe you use a utensil in the kitchen that might also be good for doing a task at work, with only a little modification. There's your chance to innovate. Take it. Think about it, both early and often.
Lance Winslow has launched a new provocative series of eBooks on Innovation in America. Lance Winslow is a retired Founder of a Nationwide Franchise Chain, and now runs the Online Think Tank; http://www.worldthinktank.net.

Yes, It Is Possible To Speed Read: Further Steps To Learn Speed Reading
Before you proceed to the advanced steps to learn speed reading, let me remind you about how essential it is to have the habit of reading every day, and reading silently for the specific purpose of becoming a speed reader. We can compare this to a person who has first time arrived to a place. In his first glance, all he sees are unfamiliar, and he has to look at all things surrounding him one by one to identify them. If he seldom visited that same place, there were few things he would recognize, but only few. The more frequent he goes to this place, the more familiar it becomes, and even without turning his head from left to right, he can tell what are on those sides. You will appreciate the point I am reiterating when you start doing the following steps:
1. Learn to read in clumps. Most people tend to read word by word. It is therefore understood that when you read this way, your reading is slow, as a matter of fact, too slow. You have to learn to take in more than one word at a time. How you should read a text must be similar to how the lines of an editorial are typed in newspapers - they are clumped. Notice how faster it is to read news in a newspaper; since each line is typed short (like in clump), your eyes grasp all they see in the line then quickly glide down to the next line, taking in again the whole line of words as one unit. Try doing it now, and you will see that it works; your reading speed will increase.
2. Be familiar with word groups. First, let me tell the difference between a word clump and a word group. Like I explained above, a word clump is words taken in as one and read as one unit. By slicing the sentence into two, three or four parts, depending on the length of the sentence, you can form word clumps. It will depend also on the scope of your peripheral vision (Later, on the third step, I will explain what peripheral vision is.) the count of word clumps you can make in a sentence. This only shows that word clumps are words that are grouped but without one-whole meaning. Word groups, on the other hand, are common group words that possess definite meaning. They are, we may say, common expressions and figures of speech, like idioms, verb phrase, collocations, phrasal verbs, etc. The taking in of word groups does not rely on your peripheral vision, but on your familiarity to common expressions. Once your eyes scan a familiar expression, you do not have to glide your sight to all the words in that phrase to be able to see what the next words are. Your eyes and brain quickly decode the familiar expression, and you can swiftly jump to the next word clump or word group. So, the more familiar you are with different word groups, the faster you read.
3. Stretch your peripheral vision. Stretching your peripheral vision is expanding the scope your eyes can see in a glance. But what is peripheral vision? Look around you, and then fixate your eyes on something. The thing where you fixate your eyes on is vivid, of course. The other objects close to that thing and which you may be seeing too, but not as vivid as the one your eyes are fixated, are objects of your peripheral vision. The farthest your peripheral vision can see, the better. If your peripheral vision can catch four or five words in a single glance, it means that you read fast. If you can take in seven words or more at a time, you are a speed reader.
To sum up, it is your peripheral vision that allows you to read as many words as you can in just one glance, and if you have a narrow vision, if you cannot read in clumps, and if you are familiar with only few word groups, then you will not be able to do speed reading.

10 Ways to Boost Your Self-Esteem
Self-esteem is the backbone of a person's success. It is a quality which helps you realize your potential and worth, so that you always work towards harnessing your full potential. When you start doubting your own worth, you can become a victim to serious problems such as depression. A person who is depressed has no willingness or motivation to live and can, therefore, develop suicidal thoughts in his mind.
Hence, it is very important to boost your self-esteem. When you know your worth, it helps you achieve bigger things in your life than you ever imagined. If you thought you could build your self-esteem by mental tricks and visualization techniques, you are mistaken.
James T Canmore, in his book, "Hole in the Soul to Supercharged Spirit" explains that your mind can never heal your soul; instead, it is your soul that heals your mind. The 10 practical self-esteem boosting tips mentioned in this book are:
Be nice to yourself
Never be too harsh on yourself and don't always try to find the negative aspects of things that you do. Give yourself a pat on your back for any good job that you do.
Look after your physical body
Your soul and mind can be healthy only when your body is healthy. Therefore, never neglect your health at any cost. Eat the right foods at the right time, get enough exercise and remain fit & healthy.
Take regular stock of your strengths and weaknesses
You should know what you are good at and what you can improve upon, if you want to realize your potential. Develop your strengths while you spend additional time and effort to work on your weaknesses and bridge the gaps there as well.
Surround yourself with positive people
Ensure that the group of people you are hanging out with is full of positivity and happiness. Their positivity can rub on you as well.
Be a supportive friend to others
Listening is a skill and not everyone is a master of it. You can improve your self-esteem considerably by just being there for your friend and lending him a listening ear.
Take care of your appearance
You should spend enough time and effort on your personal grooming because how you look plays an important role in how you feel mentally & physically as well.
Do something nice for someone else
The feeling of helping others is priceless. Do whatever you can to make others happy. It will make you feel good about yourself.
List your accomplishments daily
Make a note of your achievements on a daily basis so that you know where you stand. It can boost your morale significantly.
List and follow your passions in life
Write down all your passions and make some time to follow them whenever you can so that you feel like you are adding meaning and value to your life.
Be true to yourself
None of these above tips will work if you aren't honest to yourself. Set reasonable targets and appreciate yourself when you meet them.

2 Hours in the Morning Will Put You in 2% Club!
Do you set up yourself for failure every morning? If you hit snooze over and over again, yes you do, yet you didn't know till now. Two years ago, I was in your situation. It was my dream to be a successful person, you know, kinds of people who always look motivated and get things done in no time. I always knew waking up early would change my life, but the problem was not waking up early, it was sleeping early.
As you can relate, I thought I didn't have what it takes to have an amazing morning routine that over a couple of years it will transform to a success story. It was just a dream that I wanted, yes it was, not anymore!
Are these statements familiar to you?
• I'll wake up early tomorrow.
• I've slept late, so I should sleep more.
• I don't do anything useful in the mornings anyways, so why should I wake up early?
• I'm just not the right person for growth and success, I lack the discipline.
If you relate to one of these or all and are nodding your head, this guide will definitely save you from the struggle.
I'll not even mention agonizing impacts of wasting your mornings because you're living them. Let's start with the benefits and how those benefits will change your life in better way.
The first and the best one, waking up early will give you mental strength. Probably, you're saying, "I wake up early every day for work/school and there's no mental advantage!". Okay, I've got a few questions for you: what do you do when you wake up? Go through your emails? Or social media? Or in rush to be on time for your work/school? Another question: what do you do for yourself? To have mental strength, you should work on yourself. According to a study contacted by the American Psychological Association having a good routine in the beginning of the day will reduce your depression, anxiety and stress. More than that, it will increase your satisfaction level which will become happiness.
Second, a good beginning routine will provide you physical benefits. For instance, I do a hundred pushups after I wake up (of course it's not the only exercise I do during the whole day), which skyrockets my energy for the day. I'm not suggesting you to do pushups, you can practice yoga or even go for a walk. Another physical benefit of having a good morning routine is consuming less calories. I made an experiment with a group of twenty people, ten of us slept late for the next month, on the other hand, the rest slept early. As a result, late sleepers ended eating more because when you sleep late you get hungry that's why you tend to eat more which over the years become obesity.
Third, a good beginning always provides spiritual rewards. Visualizing your success does give you inner peace. I remember myself visualizing working as a freelancer and making enough money to travel while working. And that gave me enough motivation every day to work towards my ambitions, thus, my relationships with people became better both at home and at work. When you work for what you visualize today, in some time you'll make it reality. Of course, practicing visualization is not the only way to have inner peace. Meditation, journaling or listing what you're grateful for will help as well.
Of course, there're many other benefits of waking up early, but in my opinion, those which are above are dominant to other benefits. What else will you ask for if you're mentally strong, healthy as a model and peaceful with yourself, right?
I hope you're ready to build your own amazing morning routine! No, don't say, "but I'm not a morning person". Everything starts in your mind, so change your mindset and be positive on waking up early. "Beliefs we've that are so deeply embedded that we don't even realize they guide our attitudes and behaviors", said author Ramit Sethi. In simpler words, what you believe is your reality. So, you better start believing the you're an early bird.
Your morning routine doesn't start in the morning; it starts the night before. Here are five things you need to do to develop a habit from 'Habit Starter Checklist' written by Rob Norback. First, always remind yourself the habit that you want to create, in this case it's waking up early. Second, break it down to small pieces to make it easier and doable, make a decision of routine in regards to your new habit. For example, what activities you'll include in your morning routine. Third, know what rewards it will bring to you. How I did this, I wrote how creating and following a morning routine will make my life better on a piece of paper and read it every day. Fourth, visualize your success with your morning routine. Finally, record the progress, it will definitely encourage you to keep going.
If you're having issues with sleeping because of stress, anxiety and uncertainty (worrying about future) of future, like I had in the past. I highly recommend you to write down negative thoughts like these on a piece of paper, then fold it and tear it apart, finally throw it away. By doing this, you kick out your negative thoughts from your head and you physically do something to them which is extremely relieving.
Other helpful activity to relax before sleep; deep breathing, silence your inner voice, so it won't be bothering you; think about good things, read a book, write diary or look forwards to an amazing night sleep. There's no a certain way to get relaxed before sleep, you can find which one works for you by trying them.
It's time to chase your dreams and since day starts in the morning, you need to have a good morning routine. Start off with encouraging yourself, I believe this is the first thing you should do in the morning. 'Today is going to be the most productive day of my life' this is what I say to myself when I wake up. You can find different ones for yourself such as 'I'll be on my best today', you got the idea.
Every time I wake and encourage myself, I get out of the bed and start doing pushups right away, of course, there're plenty of other exercises you can do. For instance, sit ups, walking, jogging, even dancing, do whatever you want to for approximately twenty minutes that fills you with energy.
Cold water is the enemy of sleep if you can take a cold shower then go for it, however, if not, just wash your face with cold water. Feel awake? Now, tell what you're grateful for, you can make a list of it if you wish. Here is what I am grateful for:
• Being able to wake up
• Living the life that I've always dreamt of
• Exercising
• Yummy breakfast
• Friend
• Going to cinema and spending a great time with my partner
• Being able to finish my projects on time
Read them all out loud (of course, yours will be different), by doing this you hack your brain that you're a successful person, therefore, more achievements coming for you today.
Take your time when creating your morning routine, creating my current morning routine took two years for me. At the beginning, I set up my alarm clock to 5 a.m. and I believed that it'll give me more energy and productivity. By contrast, it gave me nothing but sleepiness, when you do something gradually your chances of success are more likely. Let's say you normally wake up at 6 a.m. next day wake up at 5:45. Then, gradually continue to your wake up time goal with setting your alarm clock 15 to 30 minutes earlier. In short, start small, be persistent and you'll achieve your goal wake up time.
As I've said before, take your time, I didn't build my winning morning habit in a day but in two years. Don't put too much to your morning routine when you're at the beginning, I did that mistake. I read books, meditated, exercised, worked; however, it didn't fulfill me with happiness and I thought of giving up many times. Build your perfect morning routine gradually, for example, exercise, after exercising becomes a habit read a book after exercise. You don't get the whole building in a day, you build it and it takes time.

Finding YOUR Courage in 2020
If you want to make big moves in 2020, you have to take risks. But taking risks isn't easy, and it puts most people in uncharted territory. Uncharted territory can, in turn, often feel dangerous and cumbersome. The human mind loves familiarity, as familiarity usually means safety in some form as well as access to resources. This love of familiarity is literally hardwired into our brains from childhood. During our evolution, those who could remember where water holes and predators were located, well, they had a better day!
Tossing all of this familiarity aside and deciding to take risks and think outside the box can be very difficult and feel scary. Yet, it is critical that you realize that this is exactly what you may need to do to reach whatever goals you have set for yourself. Taking bold and decisive action at the right moment in time may be what separates you from the fulfilling life you want and living a life that is less than what you dream. Oddly enough, walking away from the security of the known and into the insecurity of the unknown is likely what you'll need to do to achieve your goals and/or happiness.
Risks are not "one-size fits all" affairs. If you are not accustomed to taking any risks at all, then even a small risk may seem huge. Keep this fact in mind as you move forward. You need to first think about what the risk is you are contemplating and then measure that risk against reality. Will your business or livelihood go "down the drain" if you fail? Or is the risk in question a minor or medium risk move? Understanding the difference can go a long way towards helping you decide just how cautious you need to be. The greater the potential downside of failure, the greater your preparation must be, period!
Finding the courage to take risks and think outside the box often comes down to motivation. If you want or need more courage to take the steps you need to take to be happy, then step back and think about what motivates you. Fully understanding what it is that motivates you will help you get the courage that you need. You can use these motivating factors to help you zero in and stay focused during times of weakness.
In many situations, the consequences of not taking bold action are so unpleasant especially over the long haul that you are left with no option other than to act. If you can't imagine not taking bold action and changing the course of your life, then you should have all the motivation and thus all the courage you need. So don't be afraid to think big in 2020. Then go ahead and plan meticulously to make the most of your out of the box thinking.

Never Quit, Persistence Is The Way
Persistence attracts opportunity, with those three words, I begin this article. Sure, when you are exasperated, early quitting always sounds good, especially when it all gets "bloody" or hard. When you are tired, some of the greatest successes come after the next wind. I will not say "second wind", because it sometimes takes multiple streams of persistence to succeed, and not any streams of persistence, and just one try without trying again to genuinely fail.
The greatest quitter in the world is never known, because all quitters quit before they succeed or "make it". Rest assured, though, the greatest successes in the world are the ultimate seeming "failures in the beginning". From Gautama Buddha who spent seventy years "going crazy" trying to figure it all out from suffering in the world itself to the "biggest why things in the world" under the Bodhi Tree, to Jesus Christ who "ended" his ministry with assassination by Crucifixion, only to come back in an even better form ultimately, and have one of the greatest mass ministries on Earth bigger than anything else going on Earth. So, what is the greatest persistence in the world? It is one of us if we do not genuinely quit too early.
The only thing that separated Alexander Graham Bell and the rest of the inventors of the telephone, was this, persistence and a simple turn of a screw connecting a wire, also an understanding of vibration and consistency that matched nothing else going. Alexander Graham Bell understood vibration and consistency (knowing it would take a constant and not intermittent current to transmit speech over electrical wires), although it seemed simple, that turn of the screw was the difference between intermittent inconsistency and consistently and productively working, and what stemmed form all of this to full fruition?: Oh, just cell phones, every communication medium on the planet including radio and wireless gadgets like that we use every day. Even though Lewis Latimer really invented, drew and patented the light bulb, and not Edison technically, I genuinely give credit where credit is due and warranted, whatever the realistic consequences. This is what separates Christianity from the other religions in a sense when Jesus Christ said the simply logical statement: "Render unto Caesar what is the property of Caesar, and render unto God genuinely what is the property of God." in the New Testament Biblical Books of Matthew and Mark.
My point and synopsis is as follows, then I will end this article: To live in reality whatever the consequences is success. To follow through with a genuine path is success in every way. That is the synopsis. Success is guts, persistence and genuinely good work and little else. That is the point, take what you need from that, and make it work for you. Thank you for reading.

Do Our Feelings Create Our Reality?
If you feel good, you could believe that it is due to what is taking place externally. Likewise, if you feel bad, you could also believe that it is due to what is taking place externally.
In both cases, you won't have played a part in how you feel, and you will be nothing more than a passive observer of what is taking place. Therefore, in order for you to feel good, the external world will have to be a certain way.
The Norm
Experiencing life in this way is not exactly going to allow you to feel empowered and as though you have control over your life. You are likely to often feel hopeless and helpless and to see yourself as a powerless victim.
If you were able to take a step back and to reflect on your life, you may see that this is how you have experienced life for as long as you can remember. Like a leaf in the wind; you will be tossed around and unable to do anything about it.
Looking Deeper
However, what if the external world is not completely defining how you feel? What if the external world is largely the result of how you feel, meaning the external world is mirroring back your internal world?
In this case, what is going on 'out there' is secondary and what is taking place inside you is primary. You are then not merely a passive observer of your life; you are a co-creator of it.
The Connection
To realise what is going on, it will be essential for you to pay attention to how you feel. Without this understanding, you will miss out on the cause and only be aware of the effect of how you feel.
It might seem strange as to how the feelings that are inside you could impact your life. The reason for this is that you are not separate from anyone or anything, even though that may appear to be so.
The Big Illusion
Your mind creates the impression that you are just observing reality, which is why this can be hard to accept. At a deeper level, or at a level that your fives senses are unable to detect, there is no separation between you or anything else.
And while your body and the world around you appear to be solid, this is also not the truth - or is it the truth, but only at a certain level of perception. For something to be solid, it has to vibrate at a certain frequency.
The Law of Resonance
So if you forget for a moment that you have a physical body and to see yourself as vibrating energy, how you experience life will start to make more sense. The feelings that you have, along with your thoughts and beliefs, will create a frequency, and what is in alignment with this frequency is what will define what you can or can't experience.
Through not having this understanding, it will be perfectly normal for you to feel like a victim of circumstances. Another thing that needs to be mentioned is that it is not just the feelings you are consciously aware of that have an impact; it is also the feelings that are deep inside your unconscious mind.
Over to You
If your life is not how you would like it to be, the first step will be to become aware of how you feel. One thing that you could do is to notice what feelings you typically experience and to make a note of them in a journal.
By doing this, you may start to understand why you have the experiences that you have. The next step will be to decide what you would like to experience and to allow yourself to feel the feelings that will allow you to change your reality.
How Can I Serve You?
It will also be necessary for you to look into what you believe and to heal any emotional wounds you may have, as your limiting beliefs and emotional wounds can prevent you from creating the life you desire. If you can relate to what I have written and need additional support, one of the ways that I can provide this is through the personalised consultations that I offer via Skype or Zoom.
